Military Cross Stitch Patterns Honor Your Favorite Serviceman
    Ellen Frost
    Printer-Friendly Format

With loved ones serving in the Armed Forces, it's hard to remember them when it comes times for gifts. However, you can find a myriad of military cross stitch patterns to honor your loved one. Search online to find patterns to either purchase or download. In fact, you may be able to find small free patterns or even larger complete kits to complete.

If your loved one is a history buff, they will likely appreciate a pattern that commemorates a specific battle or war site from the past. Honor fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice with poems and prayers for your lost serviceman or servicewoman. Cross stitch military designs are available by many designers and what you're looking for should be easy to find.

You should have no problems finding a design to commemorate any branch of the military, but those for the Army, Navy, and Air Force will be most common. Designs, logos, insignias for each branch should be available, as well as patterns for special service groups and support agencies. Don't be surprised if you find patterns of soldiers and monuments on the internet, as well.

Use the designs you find to make a variety of items. If time isn't an issue you can find and finish a military wall hanging that can be displayed year round; if time is short, consider making ornaments for a Christmas tree or possibly a cross stitch greeting card that can be sent to your loved one overseas. Free military cross stitch patterns, when stitched with love, will be well-received and appreciated.

Do you know a wounded soldier? They would probably be thrilled to receive a hand-stitched memorial to their service, as would the family of a loved one left behind. Tell a soldier that they played a part in our history by honoring them with a beautiful piece of art, hand-made just for them.

Finding military cross stitch patterns is as simple as firing up your favorite internet search engine and typing in a few key words. The perfect project is there for you to find - one that is easy to plan, simple to start, and quick to finish. You are in control, so the shape, size, and complexity are entirely up to you to decide.

Show your support for the Armed Services by completing military cross stitch patterns and sharing them with your favorite serving - or retired - member of the Armed forces. Every branch is represented and there are many designs - from individual patterns to full kits - to choose from. Consider putting together a care package to send overseas, complete with several cross stitch patterns that they can use to create a military memorial of their own.
