How To Find Monet Cross Stitch Patterns
    Nancy Haydon
    Printer-Friendly Format

Do you love the paintings of Claude Monet? If so, you'll be happy to know that many cross stitch kits and cross stitch patterns exist for Monet's paintings. What is wonderful about Monet's paintings is his use of color. Through cross stitch, you can capture the drama of his paintings and create a keepsake for your family.

When you first start looking for Monet cross stitch patterns, consider which of his paintings is your favorite; many different Monet patterns exist. These patterns can be a little complicated and may take some time to finish, so you'll want to choose a painting you love.

For instance, do you enjoy cross stitching people? Then you may love Monet's Ballet Rehearsal painting. The ballerina in this painting is lovely, and it makes a gorgeous cross stitch project.  You can find the kits and patterns for sale on several websites. Another famous Monet painting that's captured in cross stitch is Terrace at Sainte-Adresse. This painting features couples relaxing on a flower-filled terrace.

The Woman with Parasol is a painting of a woman holding a parasol as she walks through a field of flowers. The shading and coloring in this painting are breathtaking. You'll enjoy working on this cross stitch project since Monet captured with equal skill both the beauty of nature and the beauty of the young woman.

The River is another of Monet's most famous paintings. This painting depicts a young woman sitting on the bank of a river. The houses on the opposite bank are reflected in the river's water. The painting contains a great deal of detail and color variations. Once stitched, it creates a glorious piece of artwork suitable for any room in your house.

Perhaps you enjoy landscapes more. How about his famous painting, Irises? This lovely painting translates very well into a cross stitch pattern. The blues, purples, and greens create a truly memorably keepsake that you and your family will cherish. You also may enjoy his painting of Yellow Irises. It, too, features beautiful colors and exquisite detail.

If you're interested in a brilliant blast of color, then Monet's Artist's Garden at Giverny is for you. This painting makes an especially colorful cross stitch project.  In his later years, Monet planted a garden at his house in Giverny. He painted aspects of this garden many times over the years. All of these paintings capture the vibrant colors of the flowers that grew in his garden.

Many people love Monet's water lilies paintings. You can find cross stitch patterns for most of these paintings, including his White Water Lilies. What's interesting about all of the water lilies patterns is that they capture not only the beauty of the flowers, but also the shading depths of the water in the pond.

Another favorite series of Monet's paintings that has been converted to cross stitch patterns are his Japanese paintings. The Japanese Footbridge uses a variety of colors and ends up being a true work of art once you're finished stitching.

If you have trouble sometimes reading cross stitch patterns, you may want to consider buying one with larger type. Monet cross stitch patterns tend to have a great deal of detail. To avoid eye strain, you may find it's better to invest in a larger pattern.

When it comes to Monet cross stitch patterns, you simply can't make a wrong choice. Monet was one of the most gifted artists the world has ever known. Each of his paintings is beautiful. When you finish stitching a Monet cross stitch project, you'll have truly created a family heirloom that will be treasured for years to come.
