We believe we've found a reliable Cross Stitch materials supplier and so will conclude the pricing exercise this week. Hopefully by next week (or the week after) we can start adding the price of the optional materials pack alongside each of the downloadable charts.
Full details of how the optional materials-pack service will work will be given here and in the Members' Handbook.

Next weekend I shall be attending a three-day workshop on The Public Domain so am not sure when you'll receive your newsletter. At the normal time I hope, "technology" permitting. One thing's for sure ~ there's a lot of Cross Stitch "stuff" in the Public domain, so expect to see a new department in the Members area in the next few weeks.

================================================================ A Top Tip for Cross Stitch Heaven...
Charming! How to add a charm to enhance your cross stitched design.
If you decide to use charms to add an added dimension and interest to your cross stitched picture, make sure your chosen charms are the correct size and scale to be appropriate for the design. Make sure the charm is clean, and coat the back of the charm with clear nail polish to prevent rusting.
Attach charms and buttons using a thread that matches the background fabric.
Begin with a loop start, and pass the needle through the hole in the charm from the right side, marking the correct position. Slip the charm off the eye of the needle and pass the needle in and out of the fabric and through the loop on the right side. Then stitch the charm into position, making sure the threads remain tight. ================================================================ Recent articles posted at PatternsPatch.com: ================================================================ How to Avoid Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI)

---------------------------------------------------------------- Using Artists' Cross Stitch Patterns

The quality of artwork is good regardless or they wouldn't be selling online. The bad ones have been gone long ago...

---------------------------------------------------------------- Cool Iron Transfers for Cross-Stitch Designs
In the 1870s, the iron transfer was developed, a new one-step method which allowed the design to be applied onto the fabric with a warm iron. Previously, women were encouraged to stamp patterns, which included perforated patterns, marking powder, along with instructions...
