The Influence of Walt Disney on Cross Stitch

Around the world there are so many of us who love to collect Disney items to decorate our homes.  However, is seems that this can become a very expensive hobby if we are not careful with our purchases.  Cross stitching is a wonderful way to affordably bring all the loveable Disney characters into your home to include in decorations in addition to functional items such as pillows, blankets as well as add to your childhood memories.  I often pass on buying a Disney item or collectable because it's a little too pricey. But then I know where to look for affordable cross stitch patterns for Disney items, and so will you when you get to the end of this article.

Finding Disney patterns for cross stitch is often very easy.  Many Disney brand cross stitch patterns can be found in Disney stores, you will generally have the best luck looking 'online' for these items.   You can browse through different online auctions to find many cherished Disney designs and patterns of your favorite characters at discounted prices or offered as second hand items.  Disney cross stitch patterns come in a variety of useful items, some of my favorites being height charts to record the growth of your child or children as well as many different holiday decorations such as ornaments, pillows, stockings, blankets and table cloths.

These are all fun ways to decorate your home throughout the holidays and Disney cross stitch patterns come in many non-holiday themed designs to decorate your home through out the rest of the year.  Disney designs come in all holiday styles from Valentines, Halloween, Christmas, as well as many seasonal themed patterns too.  Fall, summer, spring and winter Disney patterns will compliment your home nicely through out the entire year and offer a change of scenery seasonally.

Other items that the Disney company offers in various cross stitch patterns include some unique items such as a full tea towel and tray set which comes in the lovable Winnie the Pooh characters and provides patterns for coasters, tea towels, tray cloth or place setting and table cloth.   This is a great gift to accompany a childhood tea set that is perfect for a girl or a boy and will be cherished long after the age of three.

Another unique idea offered in some of our favorite loveable Disney characters is height charts. These are fabulous gifts for new families as well as for any child.  Once they figure out that their favorite Disney characters are there to mark the progress they have made as they grow taller they will want to constantly show off the cross stitched prize you have created for them along with their growing progress.  Other original cross stitching patterns that come in varied Disney characters are birth announcements and bibs which are just adorable when ordered in the Disney Babies series, these items usually feature enough room to stitch the new born babies name, birth date, and weight and will again create a treasured gift for the future.

Disney cross stitch designs come in all the above listed styles and patterns and a few other great offers from Disney designs in cross stitch are full room decorations for new born babies or small children, clock faces, and other great character collections.  All or many of these decorating ideas can feature most of the favorite Disney characters including Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, Mickey and Minnie characters, Disney Babies Collections, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Bambi, Jungle Book, Lion King and Nemo.

And what would be a Disney item if some weren't discontinued?  The Disney discontinued cross stitch patterns can still be found on online auctions and in second hand craft stores.  Some of the limited edition characters include Cinderella, Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, Peanuts, and many Dr. Seuss characters.  Any and all Disney characters are perfect cross stitch patterns that come in lively colors and are sure to add a great sense of long forgotten childhood to any room.  These cross stitch patterns come in all designs from basic for the newbie cross stitcher to much more challenging for those more experienced.  Disney is a fun way to cross stitch and will remain a cherished set of characters for years to come that can be kept forever or passed down through the generations!
