Loop Start Method
To use the loop start, it is essential you have an even number of thread strands required for the stitches (for instance, two, four or six strands). The advantage of this start is there is no knot, leaving a flat surface. The purpose of the loop start is to anchor your thread right at the beginning of your project; you use this method only to begin your very first stitch in the center.
